Free Google Workspace Account
I Prefer Google Workspace for Education over M365 (Microsoft Office)
Good news! Rivier faculty, students, and staff have free access to Google Workspace for Education. Simply head to https://accounts.google.com and sign in with your Rivier email address and password. You will then be able to use the full suite of Google Workspace applications including Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets. However, Gmail is disabled for Rivier accounts. Rivier only supports email access through Outlook on the Web or Outlook application for Desktop or mobile phone.
Note: The Office of Information Technology at Rivier University does not permit faculty or staff to store FERPA records in Google Workspace. IT also encourages faculty to adhere to the standard practice of implementing Canvas (LMS) and using M365 for classwork where possible.
