Help, All Meetings Are Now Teams Meetings!
How to Prevent Outlook from Automatically Adding a Teams Meeting
Recently, Microsoft has decided that every scheduled meeting is a Teams meeting. If you don’t want Outlook to automatically populate the meeting with Teams information, here’s how you can turn this feature off:
Microsoft Outlook Desktop Client
- Open Outlook. From the menu, choose File -> Options
- From the Outlook Options window that appears, click Calendar
- Under Calendar options, uncheck the top item, “Add online meeting to all meetings”
- Click OK
Microsoft Outlook on the Web
- Open your Rivier email at https://outlook.office.com
- Click the gear on the top right of the page in the ribbon, then click “View all Outlook settings”
- In settings, click Calendar
- Under Events and invitations, uncheck the top item, “Add online meeting to all meetings”
- There is no save button–you can now close the settings window and return to Outlook on the web
