I’m printing (a PDF) and I get a blank page or nothing comes out!

This is often easy to resolve. Simply close the application you’re printing from and try again. That means closing Adobe if it’s a PDF, or closing Chrome or a browser if it’s just about anything else. Then, re-open and try to print it again. It should work the second time!

What happened? / How can I avoid this in the future?

Please make sure that your printer is installed BEFORE you open the document you wish to print. If you open an application and THEN add the printer, your print job may not go through successfully.

The takeaway…

If you are not getting anything to print, or a blank page comes out, simply close the application (browser, Word, Adobe, etc.) and then reopen it… it should print on the 2nd try. And, to avoid this in the future, always check to make sure your printer is installed BEFORE you open your application/document. Thanks!
