Downloading and Using Respondus Monitor LockDown Browser
The Respondus Monitor LockDown Browser is a special browser that can be used to complete assignments in Canvas, our learning management platform (LMS). Sometimes, an exam within Canvas will require students to use the LockDown Browser because this browser prevents cheating in multiple ways–it makes it difficult to take screenshots of the exam or open other browser windows while the exam is open. Check with your instructor to see if you need to use the LockDown Browser to complete an assignment in Canvas.
The LockDown Browser is preinstalled on podiums, classrooms, and computer labs when a student logs into the University Desktops VDI pool. Find it on the desktop.
