Using Microsoft Teams for Video Calls

✅ What You Can Do with Teams Video Calls
Microsoft Teams lets you make video calls for:
- 1:1 or group conversations
- Quick “Meet Now” sessions
- Scheduled meetings (via Teams or Outlook)
- Screen sharing and collaboration
🎬 How to Start a Video Call
🟣 Option 1: From a Chat
- Open the Teams app.
- Click the Chat tab on the left.
- Select a conversation or start a new one.
- Click the Video Call button in the top-right.
🟣 Option 2: “Meet Now”
- Go to the Calendar tab.
- Click Meet Now at the top right.
- Adjust your audio/video settings.
- Click Join.
- Use Invite someone to add participants.
Option 3: Schedule a Meeting
- In the Calendar tab, right-click date and time desired
- Click new event.
- Add a title, time, and participants.
- Click Save. Attendees receive a Join link.
During the Call: What You Can Do
| Feature | How to Use |
| Mute/Unmute | Click the microphone button |
| Turn Video On/Off | Click the camera button |
| Share Screen | Click Share (arrow icon) |
| Chat | Click the chat icon |
| Reactions | Click the emoji icon to send reactions |
| View Participants | Click the People icon |
Tips for the Best Experience
- Use headphones to prevent echo or background noise.
- Check camera and mic permissions before joining.
- Use a strong internet connection (Wi-Fi or wired).
- Blur or change your background:
Go to More (···) > Effects and avatars during the call.
Using a Mobile Device?
- Download the Microsoft Teams app from your app store.
- Sign in with your Rivier account.
- Use the Chat or Calendar tabs to start or join calls.
