This information is for the older VMware Horizon Client system discontinued 7/13/2023.

Virtual Desktops (VDI) / Horizon Client

To connect to Rivier University systems from off campus, please use VMware Horizon Client.

Windows / Mac OS

• Download and install VMware Horizon Client (for Windows or Mac)
• When prompted, enter Server Connection: vdi.rivier.edu
• At the first login screen, enter your Rivier email address and password. At the second login screen, enter your Rivier username and password.

Chromebook

• See this article: Installing and Using Horizon Client on a Chromebook
• Follow the instructions above to sign in.

All Other Devices (No Install Required)

• Open a browser and visit https://vdi.rivier.edu
• Click the option on the right: VMware Horizon HTML Access
• Follow the instructions above to sign in.
