Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
To connect to Rivier University systems from off campus, please use AVD Remote Desktop client.
Windows / Mac OS
- Download and install AVD Remote Desktop client (for Windows or Mac)
- Windows users, be sure to select the Windows 64-bit option (most common).
- After opening Remote Desktop client, hit Subscribe. Enter your Rivier email address and password.
- Double click the appropriate virtual desktop:
- University Desktops for all students
- CS Desktops for students in certain majors who use these desktops
- Employee Desktops for all faculty and staff
- Vendor Desktops for vendors
Chromebook / Android
- Download the AVD Remote Desktop client app from the Google Play Store.
- It is an Android app. Most Chromebooks now support installing Android apps.
- Follow the instructions above to sign in.
All Other Devices (No Install Required)
- Open a browser and visit https://client.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient/
- Sign in with your Rivier credentials.
- Select the desktop you wish to log into. You may be prompted to sign in a second time.
