How do I access my Rivier technology resources remotely?
With a little bit of planning, a device and a connection to the Internet, it is possible to learn, study, and work remotely. Read below for details:
Teaching and Learning
- Access to Canvas
- Access to Email
- Access to Regina Library
- Access to Zoom
- If you are a faculty or staff member and need a Zoom license, email itsupport@rivier.edu and request the license. Students can use Zoom Basic without a license as a Zoom participant.
Accessing Data Files on my P: drive or Department Share
- Use the AVD Remote Desktop client
Additionally, all of us have a Microsoft OneDrive Account. This is accessible from anywhere on the web. A good idea is to start saving your files to OneDrive now. Or, if you know that you regularly need off-campus access to certain existing files, start moving them from the P: drive to OneDrive now.
Accessing CAMS, Dynamics GP, Time Matrix Remotely (Staff and Faculty)
- Use the AVD Remote Desktop client
Chat Tool
The University uses the Microsoft Teams chat and collaboration tool. Click here to download MS Teams.
Webcams and Basic Headphones
If you need a webcam or pair of basic headphones, please email itsupport@rivier.edu and request the necessary equipment. (As of September 2020, webcams are only issued to employees.)
