How To Restore Accidentally Deleted OneDrive or Teams Document Library Files
Did you accidentally delete a document or folder in Microsoft OneDrive or a Teams document library? Don’t worry! If it has been less than 30 days, the data is probably recoverable.
OneDrive and Teams both have a recycle bin that contains your deleted files. You can restore data from the recycle bin yourself without needing to call IT support. Please see this Microsoft article for more information.
Of course, Rivier IT Support is always happy to assist you if you’d like some help. When contacting us, please be very specific about what you are missing:
- Name of file (or best guess)
- Location of file (or where it was last seen)–note the OneDrive or Team name as well as the folder that it was in
- The last time the document was modified
- Any other information you feel may help us find the document
Note: If the document or file was deleted from your P: drive or a network file share, you will need to contact IT to recover the files.
